Meet Lindsay
I grew up in a small town north of New York City in a family of teachers and avid readers. After majoring in Chinese Studies in college, I postponed reality by traveling by myself for four months throughout Europe. (Knowing Mandarin did not come in handy there, by the way.) When I ran out of savings, I came home, moved to Boston and started a successful career in International Benefits. After meeting my Mr. Wonderful, we started a family. Four kids later (I know, it’s a lot), finding a work/life balance was getting increasingly difficult, so I put my career on hold to join the world of PTO meetings, Girl Scout leaders and being there to wipe away tears and laugh until I couldn’t breathe with our four gremlins. While I was at home, I promised myself that I would keep intellectually engaged by reading. I made a resolution to read, on average, a book a week—and I have kept that resolution for more than 18 years. Now that our kids are off on their own adventures, I want to share my love of travel, books and local food with others. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
